James was invited by Jake Warren at the Highclere Stud in Berkshire to take time to study his brood mares and foals. Taking three sunny days in a wet August at the beautiful stud farm, James took the chance to study a subject he has been wanting to re-appraise for some time. All the drawings are back in the studio, the long, narrow panels are complete and dry and painting will begin this Autumn. The first design should be completed and framed for May 2024.
